Don't Rain On MY Parade...
Whether you're a parade watcher or a parade rider, all you care about is YOUR parade. With dozens of Krewes parading over 2 weeks before Mardi Gras, there always are "da winner & da losers". Some years certain Krewes seem to have just bad luck as the rain days keep happening on them. The fact of the matter is, it's purely luck. At this time of the year we have cold fronts move through about every 4-5 days. before & during the frontal passage it's usually wet with several dry days following the front. That's what will happen with this next front on Wednesday. It will not be a pretty day &, with increasing winds and decreasing temperatures, very uncomfortable to be outside. Most of the heavy rains will be gone by 8 AM but there will be lingering showers into the evening hours. Better weather returns for Thursday through Sunday. Thursday looks dry but very chilly while a warming trend begins on Friday that will have us back into the 70s for this weekend. Our next storm chance after tonight arrives Monday and could linger into Mardi Gras itself. Stay tuned!
