Coming home tonight the biting wind coupled with rain and cold temps made me realize why I've made my home here. Sure it's cold & miserable tonight, but by Friday PM we'll be enjoying Spring-like air. Chicagoland (where I grew up in the 50s & 60s) had its 24th day (almost a month!) below zero this morning. Burrr ! Of all the rudeness!!! And to think they have been below freezing for nearly 2 weeks! Let's get thru the next 48 hours and start enjoying the feel of Spring for this NBA weekend in New Orleans.
In the short term, heavy downpurs will start to diminish after 1-2 AM with most of the shding by 7 AM. Wednesday will remain cloudy, windy & very cold (40s) before sunshine returns on Thursday with temps warming into the 50s, 60s on Friday and 66-71 for Sat- Sunday.
