Arthur Unlikely to Form...

Radar & Satellite loops showed a well defined swirl east of central Florida this afternoon drifting slowly to the NE.  Tonight NHC gave that swirl a 10% chance of developing during the next 2 days.  With another cold front sweeping down the East Coast, it's very unlikely anything will get better organized and it is of ZERO concern for the Gulf Coast.  In fact, we have a northern wind flow roaring across the Gulf creating a hostile environment for tropical development.  I really don't see much happening during the next 10-14 days as wind shear remains high.

Locally, until the upper ridge retreats back away from us, daily shower chances will be below normal.  That should change next week.   I will be taking 2 weeks off to recharge my old body before the heart of Hurricane Season arrives.  Will resume my blog then.
