An unusually deep upper low is dropping over the Great Lakes bringing some really chilly air into the lower 48. Record lows are likely for the next 2-3 days at the same time that record heat will form across the far West. We will get a taste of the "coolness", but the bulk of the chill will stay to our north. As the front plows into the deep tropical moisture over the Gulf coast, look for strong T-Storms to form Tuesday afternoon. Once the front clears us, much lower humidity will filter in making for cooler over night temps (especially N-Shore) and daytime highs upper 80s. Another upper disturbance will approach by late Thursday into Friday increasing our rain chances once again. Enjoy the brief touch of Fall-like weather as it won't linger very long.
I'll be on the lookout for a "spin up" along this front as it pushes off our coast. None of the models show that scenario happening at this time. Stay tuned!
