Brief Drying Out...Stormy Weekend?
As our 2nd cool front this month pushes down off our coast, drier air will filter in, but for only a day and a half. By Thursday afternoon winds will swing back around off the Gulf as the dry, good feel air retreats quickly back to the NE. You'll notice the change when you go out tomorrow morning as the 'good feel" air from earlier this month makes it feel less hot. However, this is the middle of summer & we'll be right back in the daily daytime heating storms for Friday & the Weekend. These will be the basic garden variety summer storms that bring briefly heavy downpours, vivid lightning & gusty winds. By later next week, it appears an upper high will build over us bring the hottest temps of this summer so far. The Tropics remain quiet.
