As Good As It Gets,,,

Back during boot camp in 1970 in San Diego & then on to AIT (Advanced Infantry Training) at Camp Pendleton, I marveled at how the weather felt day after day.   Night time temps were 45-50 with daytime highs 70-75 with daily sunshine.    This went on for months (Aug-Nov.) and those of us from other parts of America were amazed.   Today was one of those San Diego days here , but the difference is I believe we appreciate these kinds of days way more than those who live in Southern California.  We know what's coming in 6-7 weeks (brutal heat & humidity) and truly enjoy every Spring day that is warm & dry.    My much younger neighbor Larry finished his daily run while I was walking Bailey this evening and we both commented how great it feels.   Yea, we know what's coming so enjoy Mother Nature before the "heat hits the fan".

Another weak front will sweep through over night reinforcing the dry air & keeping temps. cool at night but mild to warm during the day.   South winds won't return until Saturday when some clouds & the muggies come back.   Our next real rain chance doesn't arrive until next Monday & Tuesday when a fairly strong cold front will trigger some storms ahead of it.  Behind that, more cooler & drier air returns for late next week.   I was out planting some new flowers today taking out the older ones and replacing them with more color.   My bird condo has been totally filled with several species rapidly building their nests.  Oh how I love Spring !!!  Stay tuned!
