The Power of Prayer...

My last blog I asked that you place my brother-in-law Jerry on your church's prayer line.  I was going to Philly to perhaps see him for the last time as he has several major health issues.  When my wife & I arrived to see Jerry, he was very weak, unable to eat, surviving only on IVs.   As we visited him for 5 days, you could see a change for the better happening.    The hospital allowed him some soft food & smoothies and he began to get stronger in voice & appearance.  By the time we left, Jerry was eating a cheeseburger!   He is leaving the hospital tomorrow going into a rehab facility for many weeks.   The hope is for him to be able to walk again & I know he will.  Now some may just think Jerry's improvement was due to his being able to eat again.   Not me.   I could see it, I could feel it. It was the prayers of thousands asking our Creator to spare this good man's life.   I'd like to thank you personally, but Jerry is far from being out of the woods, so let's keep him on our prayer lines and hope the huge improvements in his health continues.  FYI...today is Jerry's 66th birthday and we celebrated this morning as my wife brought him a small chocolate (his favorite) cupcake.  Later in the day, his surgical team at the Penn Medical Center brought him a birthday cake.   It's been a good day indeed!  Thanks again Gang.  Prayers for Jerry are working!

Sorry I missed the severe threat over the weekend.   I have not seen The Weather Channel in 5+ days!  Did watch Nicondra this evening and she says our good feel weather will last another day before the muggies are back on Wednesday.  Thursday could turn stormy again, but the outlook for this Easter weekend looks great with no rain expected.   I'll go into more detail tomorrow.  Stay tuned!
