Dorian Back to a Cat. 3...

Based on satellite & radar loops that showed Dorian regaining better organization, but more importantly, based on recon data that found lower pressures and stronger winds. NHC increased Dorian's max winds back to Cat. 3 status (115 mph)   Man, this is going to be a close call for the Carolinas, but NHC hasn't changed their center line track keeping it off the South Carolina coast and just brushing the North Carolina coast north of Myrtle Beach.  IF that proves correct, the worst of the storm will just brush coastal communities and impacts should be far less than what happened over the northern Bahamas.   I feel for my friend Chief Meteorologist Rob Fowler who has worked at NEWS 2 in Charleston, SC for 32 years.  This will be a long night for him and his viewers.  Stay strong Rob.

Noticed one comment on my last post from a fella in SC that said his HOA (Home Owner's Association) doesn't allow functional shutters.  Are you kiddin' me?  Seriously?   So who will pay for the damages when the big one comes?   An assessment to all the owners?  Me thinks I'd contact an attorney to limit my liability.   I should have the right to protect my property.  That issue (shutters)should be put up for a vote at the next HOA meeting.  Stupid & ridiculous.  Stay tuned!
