Quiet Weather Means Football Rules...

I remember growing up outside Chicago (Hammond, Ind,) back in the 50s & 60s I was a diehard Bear fan.  My favorite players were wide receiver # 87 Harlan Hill in the 50s &  # 89 Mike Ditka ,# 40 Gale Sayers &  # 51 Dick Butkus in the 60s. The Bears always played physical and that's what I expect again today as our Saints take on the "Monsters of the Midway".  The weather shouldn't be a factor as some clouds linger this morning, but I expect sunshine this afternoon should warm temps to near 60 around game time.

Sure we have many starters hurt, but that should make the team more focused.  If we can avoid turnovers & stupid penalties, I thinking Saints 24 da Bears 17.  Weatherwise, the Gulf has cleared out and models are not showing any tropical systems anywhere for the next 5-7 days.   Our season is done as several cold fronts this week will bring down more cold air.
Some strong T-Storms could develop Monday PM ahead of the next front  with another, stronger front arriving next Friday.  The North Shore will dip into the 40s for next weekend with 50s south.  I'm going to bring out my sweaters as we will be feeling like Fall should feel like.
For you hurricane Geeks, I found this graphic on Weather Bell Analytics which shows the number of hurricanes /decade versus major hurricanes / decade.  Despite what you constantly hear (Global warming means more frequent & stronger storms), the numbers are NOT going up even though we have better technology to discover storms now.  Just food for thought.  Go Saints!  Who Dat!  Stay tuned!
