Nestor Nearing Coast As Weak Low...

Last night Tropical Storm Nestor was racing to the NE at 23 mph.  Over night he slowed down and still isn't on shore as of noon.  NHC downgraded him to "Post Tropical" low pressure (more winter-like) and forward motion is only 9 mph.  Satellite pics show a classic comma shape with the center lacking any showers or storms.

NHC stayed with their previous track which has turned out to be very good.   Nestor will bring much needed rainfall to the SE before it moves out to sea.

In his wake, northerly winds have brought down a dry and comfy air mass that will not last very long.  The muggies return late Sunday and some heavy T-Storms will develop ahead of our next cold front on Monday.  Tuesday & Wednesday will be dry & cooler with another front coming next Friday.   Each front is likely to be a little cooler, but I don't see any major Arctic outbreaks until we get into November.  I'm ready for football!  Stay tuned!
