Thundery Afternoon Coming...

A deep low pressure system over the northern plains has a trailing cold front all the way down into the western Gulf.  This is the same front that produced last night's tornado north of Dallas.   We are in a slight risk for severe storms this afternoon as the front plows into a moisture rich air mass covering south LA/MS.

Tornado warnings already are coming out for areas to our west.   Let's keep up on the weather for the next 4-6 hours and delay going to the store or mall until the cooler air arrives.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be noticeably cooler and much less humid. another front comes for Friday with more cool air for the weekend.  Stay tuned!
