When I opened the door to let Bailey out this morning, I thought I heard Irene Cara in Flashdance singing..."What a Feeling"! In fact, to me it was a bit chilly with the brisk wind. Much of the nation has cooled down with only the SE still warm.
It won't last very long as we'll see the heat and humidity return by Monday. However, another front arrives next Wednesday that will bring us another cool relief. About the only thing to watch for during the next 10-14 days is for something to develop over the southern & western Gulf. Right now NHC has highlighted an area over the southern Caribbean where a tropical wave is moving to the west. There is nothing to follow yet. As long as the fronts keep coming bringing cooler air. tropical formation in the northern Gulf becomes less likely.
Let's focus on this weekend's football. Tulane, LSU today and Who Dat Nation tomorrow. Stay tuned!
