As I watch the snow fall in Green bay, it's a reminder why every NFL game is important with regard to home field advantage in the playoffs. I won't dwell on Today's beating that the Falcons gave us, but hopefully our guys will be a different team come next week and then when we go to Atlanta in 3 weeks. But the Green Bay snow is the leading edge of an Arctic blast that will sweep through us after midnight tomorrow. Computer numerical guidance continues to advertise freezing temps on the North Shore (ASD) for Slidell and near freezing for MSY(Kenner).
You can see a big swath of clouds coming out of the Rockies crossing into the Great Lakes marking the boundary of the cold air.
It's hard to believe we'll go from 75-80 tomorrow and stay in the 40s with north winds 20-30+ on Tuesday. You'll need all your heavy weather gear if you must be outside. You still have another day to move your tropical plants inside before the chill takes them out Tuesday & Wednesday. Clouds offshore the Louisiana coast will stream northward tomorrow, but the rain threat should hold off until after dark.
Our coldest morning will be on Wednesday with a slow moderation after that. For now, we're all in a funk for the way the Saints played, but remember...L S U !!! Da Dun Da Da. Bravo Tigers! Stay tuned!
