Thank goodness our boys woke up and came back for a nice win, despite making so many mistakes. No matter how ugly the weather, when the Saints win everyone perks up just like when the sun comes out. That slow moving upper low can be seen on water vapor over NE Louisiana with an extensive cloud deck rotating around it. Without any sunshine, temps have stayed in the 40s & 50s.
Once those clouds leave, we'll see much warmer temperatures (70s) for most of Christmas week here. The brutal cold remains trapped up in Canada, but models are hinting that cold will pour into the U.S. for New Years and the first several weeks in January.
But if you're traveling for Christmas week, there should be only a few locations that have weather issues. That will all change for the following couple of weeks and my gut tells me we're likely to see a hard freeze threat all the way down to the Gulf Coast during January 5-20th. The cold is coming, but not in time for those of you who wanted it for Christmas. Sorry. Stay tuned!
