Too Bummed To Post...

Yea the sun will come out tomorrow, but why do I still feel so bad?  I just didn't see it coming.  I predicted the Vikings would score 24 (they scored 26), but who coulda, woulda, thought the Saints would be held to 20?  Drew says "we didn't play great for the first 3 quarters".  Why not?    "The Saints were outclassed (translation outcoached) by the Vikings...getting outplayed in every phase of the game".   But why?   Finally..."there are windows, and windows close...the Saints have been in prime open window territory these past 3 years...did they just miss out on their best shot?"   And as losers often do, we look for excuses.  What if we had scored a TD after recovering that early fumble?  What if we make a field goal to end the half tied?   What if we had won the OT toss?  What if the refs called offensive pass interference?   Yada, yada, yada.  I feel just like the Advocate reporter said..."the Saints might have just squandered 3 of the most talented rosters in the organization's history".   For whatever reason (injuries?), we didn't get it done.  I hate to speculate about the weather, so I won't speculate about the Saints.  We'll be back again next year, but I'm reminded about the Buffalo Bills back in the 70s when they reached the Super Bowl for four straight years, but never could win it.  Their window closed and it has been decades since they even got back to the playoffs.  I'm sticking with our guys and so should you.  Don't give up on them Who Dat Nation.

Our weather is terrific for January with plenty of sunshine and temps about to top 70.

There is a surge of clouds over the western Gulf ahead of our next weak front on Tuesday, but the cooldown will be minor.   The real cold (40-50 below zero) remains bottled up over Alaska and northern Canada with no signs of that coming our way for the next 7-10 days.

We are approaching the 2 coldest weeks of the year, historically, but it'll feel Spring-like later this week with highs 75-80.   We still have plenty of time to get several Arctic blasts during late January into Feb-March.   With the recent rains and mild weather, I've noticed the lawns greening & the weeds growing.  Too soon for Spring.  Stay tuned!
