Let It Snow, Let It Snow...

Many of you cold air fans would love to see scenes like Oklahoma saw this morning.  My youngest son (Justin) lives in Edmond and his wife (Emily) sent me these pics.

OK, so the last picture is not a snow pic, but it's my Grandson Ethan waiting for Momma to take him out into the white stuff.   There could be another round of snow coming for parts of Texas & Oklahoma as the deep upper trough over the west is pulling in tropical moisture from the Pacific.

Look how cold it is to our west in Texas.  With such a sharp temperature contrast combining with strong upper winds, SPC (Storm Prediction Center) keeps us in level 2 (slight) risk for severe weather this afternoon and mentions a tornado watch is likely, especially for areas to our north.

We just had round one of heavy rainfall with more to come.  Pay attention to your FOX 8 Weather App in case any warnings are issued mainly in the 3-8 PM time frame.   We should be OK for the next several hours if you need to run any errands.   Tomorrow Winter returns for 1 1/2 days before the weekend warms up again.  Stay tuned!

I have family in Edmond - and my brother who lives in Miami sent me pictures of the snow where he was visiting! He said from heat to cold :)
