More Snow, Mor' Snow, Mo' Snow...

My last several posts have included snow pictures from my son's houses in Oklahoma & Colorado.  Well,  today's pics come from my youngest sister (Carol) up in NW Indiana. It's pretty obvious she & her husband (Joe) will not be eating on the back patio this evening!

Radar is showing a large area (blue shade) of snow from coast to coast as the nation is finally getting "normal" February cold weather.

The super cold(40+ below zero) remains bottled up in Canada  and models are hinting an east coast trough may develop by the third week of February and that would bring some of that real chill into the U.S.   Snow cover across the northern states has increased and that allows night time lows to be colder.  Satellite pictures show the snow on the ground from Wisconsin into Iowa through Oklahoma into Texas.

Temps behind the front are chilly back in Texas so I expect Friday will struggle to get out of the 50s here despite bright sunshine.

We should stay dry for the next several days with a gradual warm up into the 70s for Sunday through next Wednesday. Some showers could be back as soon as Monday.   Enjoy the current chill as it will not last very long. Actually, if you are dressed for it, it feels great outside.   Stay tuned!
