Spring Preview This Week...

I was doing some shopping at Rouses this afternoon and 2 people greeted me with "Great weather we're having" while 2 others moaned "we just didn't have enough Winter".  For true as my house never did get down to freezing and I can only remember 2 mornings that had a light frost. Consequently, my yard is blooming like never before and, since I see no real cold air coming for the next 10-14 days, I brought all my potted plants back our of my "He Shed".

This is the first year I let my crown of thorns stay outside all Winter and she did not lose any of her leaves.  Meteorological Spring arrives tomorrow and we will see a big warm up that will make it feel like spring.

The Northeast still feels like Winter as clear skies cover most of the eastern 2/3rds of the nation.  The next system is approaching the west coast and will arrive here on Wednesday.   Until then we'll stay dry and warm up.

So where has Winter been?    Way up north...north to Alaska where Fairbanks has had its 3rd coldest Winter since the late 70s. Northern Canada also has been super cold, but there has been no "Polar Vortex" during this Winter.

Too bad this weather wasn't around last week when my Grandson Ethan visited from Oklahoma.   BeBe and Pops took him to the Aquarium where he loved seeing the fish, especially the sharks!  Hopefully his next visit will be warmer?   Stay tuned!
