Time to go Fishing...

Winter into early Spring is often a difficult time to catch fish as water temps. often are up and down disrupting the fish's normal feeding patterns.  Add in typically high winds and you're often lucky to catch more than a couple.  Sometimes though, if you fish between fronts, you can find a decent amount of fish that make your trip worthwhile.

Normally fish won't bite when the barometer is high like the past several days.  They feed more aggressively when a front is coming and the barometer is falling.  That will be the case tomorrow and Tuesday as a storm along the west coast heads our way.  The chilly surface high is pulling east of Florida into the Atlantic with a big warm up on the back side of that high.

You can even see some 80s & 90s showing up in the Rio Grande Valley.  With lots of clouds for the next 3 days, I don't see that kind of warmth here, but we should easily be 75-80.   As the upper energy approaches on Wednesday, there is a slight potential for some strong storms during the day on Wednesday.   The cool down for Thursday into next weekend will not be that bad, just getting us back to the 60s for highs.   I'll let you know if we have a successful trip.  Rarely with Capt. Hylton do we come back empty.  Stay tuned!
