The NFL could not have gotten a better weather day in south Florida with bright sunshine & temps 65-70. Our weather here is not too shabby either!
The abundant sunshine over all of the South has really warmed things up. It's warmer in Nebraska than in south Florida!
With a western trough developing, colder air is sinking down out of Canada and will provide the fuel for a snow storm on Wednesday coming out of the Rockies.
You can see the tropical moisture spreading in from Mexico and we have the potential for some strong storms here on Wednesday as we'll be 75-80. We will have a sharp cool down for Thursday and Friday, but the chill won't last long as next weekend gets mild again. The bitter cold remains in northern Canada and I do not see an eastern trough coming during the next 10-14 days that could bring that chill into the Gulf South.
So relax, turn on FOX 8 and watch the Super Bowl that should have the Saints playing, but alas we were not good enough. Two young QBs flinging to fast receivers. I expect a shootout. Chiefs 35, Niners 31. Hope it's an entertaining game. Stay tuned!
