The Luck of the Irish, Italians, Druids & Nyx...

Tonight's parade weather is a close call, but based on current radar returns, the real rains won't arrive until after midnight meaning a dry ride for Krewe members & viewers.

Note how chilly it is just to our north.   That front will sag southward during Thursday bringing us a cold rain shield for most of the day.   For Thursday night's parades, most showers should end by 4-5 PM, however, it will be much colder (40s) and windy requiring the full Winter weather gear.  An Arctic airmass covers much of the lower 48 and we'll be in that chill for Thursday PM through Saturday AM.

Clouds will clear for Friday through Saturday, but temperatures will stay well below normal with Friday's high in the 50s falling into the 40s after dark into the 30s Saturday morning and 55-60 during Saturday PM.  Saturday night will be 50-55 with Sunday warming to 65-70.  Another system will bring a shower threat for Lundi Gras with temps mild (60s) and RIGHT NOW, the computer models are keeping some showers around on Mardi Gras, but that could/will change.  For tonight I'll be at the Nyx parade that will honor Nancy Parker as their Grand Marshal.  Finally, my youngest son (Justin)  brought me my  grandson (Ethan) in for a 3 day visit from Oklahoma.

He's 10 months old and moves like lightning (weather term for fast !)  That's BeBe (Brenda) in the background helping keep the watch on the young fella.  From Puerto Vallarta to Ethan Thomas (E.T.), retirement is good!  Stay tuned!
