Comes in Like a Lamb, Goes Out Like a Lion...

There are many weather folklore sayings that I remember from my youth.  One was March comes in like a lion, but often goes out like a lamb (or vice versa).  So far for the nation as a whole, March has been pretty tame.

With a full moon out there tonight, not much is happening from coast to coast.   There is a weak system bringing some clouds in from the SW along with some showers, but this is not a big deal.  A much stronger system is off California and that will bring some much needed rain to areas that have seen very little during their "rainy season".   I see no signs of the bitter cold air in Canada coming into our part of the World during the next 10-14 days.

Consequently the FOX 8 seven day has us flirting with 80 almost every day this week.   Since water temps are still in the 60s, night time lows cool into the 50s.  In another 2 months, we'll see water temps soar back to 80+ and that's when our nights won't cool down much below 70.    So my suggestion for the next 6-8 weeks is get outside and enjoy the "feel" of the air.  We all know what's coming once we get into May!    At least we don't have to shovel humidity!   Stay tuned!
