Gloomy St. Patrick's Day...

Normally this is party time in NOLA, but with all the bars & restaurants closed due to COVID-19, I thought I'd brighten your day with the little man (my grandson) who is a wannabe Irish, if only for a day.   The second picture is Ethan's reaction when I told him we have 10 Guinness left to drink!   He-He.

We had some showers develop this afternoon as a weak upper disturbance approached just south of our coast.  It was barely apparent on the Water Vapor loop.

The main player on today's weather map continues to be a large upper trough along the West Coast that is rotating storm system after storm to areas that need the rain & snow.  Until that pattern shifts, we'll stay warm into the weekend, perhaps even into next week.  A cold front will get close, but today's model runs stall it before it gets to us.

So what if we can't party together for St. Patrick?  I'm going to get one of those Guinness' (maybe 2 !)  and toast all my Irish friends.  Cheers!  Stay tuned!
