Another Casualty of COVID-19...

As the virus spreads across our nation, I was not surprised to receive an e-mail alerting me that the 2020 National Hurricane Conference in Orlando for April 6-9th is cancelled.   With more and more businesses forced to close, I hope the spread of the virus slows so the nation can get back to some sense of normalcy during the coming weeks and months.  To hear "worse case" means July or August with regard to normal is not encouraging.   I do believe the main benefit from this virus will be a more sanitary country including food services to bathroom cleanliness.

The main storm system today is hitting California with much of the state cold (40s & 50s) and damp.   A frontal boundary remains draped just to our north with very chilly air not far from us.  There are no signs of a strong cold front coming, but that boundary could slide down to us by the weekend.

40s & 50s are just to our north with 70s along the Gulf coast.  Today's high reached 82 which is way above our 71 normal high.  With warm weather comes critters.  I'm told this fella is a "roof rat".   Curious if any of you have hear of them and/or had to deal with them.  Hate to put out any poison with dogs & cats in the neighborhood.  Ideas?   No guns please!   Stay tuned!

sticky traps...Horrible, inhuman way to deal with this issue. Have a heart traps allows you to trap the critters and bring them to location where they can become part of the food chain. Since BOB spends so much time in the great outdoors, sure he can find a suitable location to release it.
