Life Goes On...

I'm happy to report that many folks have decided not to fear living or to live in fear, but rather to use common sense and go out and support our local restaurant industry.  I went to Bucktown (Station 6) and all the restaurants around there were packed.  Bravo for realizing we cannot live alone and we need to support those in the service industry who work hard to earn a living.

Satellite pictures show the SW upper flow over us with one storm system pulling away to the northeast with another coming into the west coast.   Some rain is across central Louisiana, but that band is not expected top reach us.  Farther to our north, heavier rains keep falling over the same areas that don't need it.

That's where the main temperature boundary is located with 70s south and 30s to the north.  I don't see any major pattern shift until late next week when a strong cold front should chill us down by late Friday PM.

My earlier post talked about CAPS FOR KIDS, a locally based national charity that supplies "Hero Caps" for children suffering from cancer.  We had some issues with the video display and I hope you'll click the links to see the children who are so grateful for their hero.  One hero is our own Drew Brees who understands the meaning of giving back.   We need more Drew Brees and, with your support of CAPS FOR KIDS,  we can brighten the lives of children across our country.  Thanks for supporting capsforkids.org, a cause so close to Brenda and me.

ask your favorite eatery if they to-go, pick up or delivery, that way you avoid contact with strangers and still patronize your local favorites!

Suport the restaurants with take out orders, yes, but people should not be packing restaurants right now. Turn off Fox News and educate yourself about social distancing and why it is important at this time. This is serious.
