Yesterday's blog mentioned a weak upper system would give us a few showers for today. That didn't stop me from fishing with Captain Hylton out of Shell Beach. We caught 30 nice trout but it took us 7 hours! Some showers are still on radar to our west, and they should decrease after sunset.
Even though we didn't see much sunshine, temps still soared into the 70s. The next big system off the west coast should follow the same track as many storms this Winter. Most of the rainfall will be well to our north and west and the next front probably stalling before it reaches us on Friday. Without a dip in the Jet Stream over the eastern states, our early Spring preview should continue into next week.
Finally, the National Hurricane Conference is less than 3 weeks away and an upper air system has bloomed some clouds north of Puerto Rico.
It's way too soon to worry about the Tropics, however, June will be here before we know it and we'll shift our focus from Winter freezes to Summer storms. The first early season outlooks start coming out next week. Stay tuned!
