Bob the Planter Has Success...

We all know what this stay at home order is doing to us.   Bored crazy, we'll try anything.

So I decided to say goodbye to Sal the Satsuma tree after 6 unproductive years and plant some flowers to brighten up my yard.

Next it's back to cleaning out the attic and then cleaning out clothes I haven't worn in 2 years!  Running out of things to do.   We're all in this same boat of giving life & each day a purpose.  Weather wise, can it get much better?

The West coast trough has shifted allowing them to warm up while bringing fronts down to the Gulf South.   In fact, it's really cold over most of the Great lakes & Southeast.

Tonight will be the coolest night with the North Shore dropping into the 40s with 50s south of Lake P.   Bright sunshine returns Thursday with highs warming into the mid to upper 70s.  Moisture returns on Friday with the slight chance for a shower, but the best rain chances arrive over the weekend, especially on Sunday.

This is really great "feel good" air with dewpoints in the 30s so get out and enjoy this as you know what's coming ( Summer!).  Satellite pics show the effects of the Spillway opening as Lakes Pontchartrain & Borgne are murky and likely to have the algae blooms like last year.   So sad news for the crabbers, fishermen & the oyster industry that still suffers from last year's opening.    The River is cresting and will start to fall over the weekend. Hopefully the Corps will have all the bays closed by early next week?  Another surge is coming out of the Ohio River so expect high river levels well into May.  Bummer.  Stay tuned!
