Quiet So Far...

By all indicators, there will be a major tornado outbreak later today into Monday.  Note how SPC (Storm Prediction Center) has expanded and increased (Level 3 to Level 4) the area most likely to see damaging storms.

A Tornado Watch covers east Texas & western Louisiana this morning and many more watches are likely later today.  See the lightning already with these storms.   The set up remains just like last week's severe weather.   Cool air to the north, warm, humid air south with an approaching upper disturbance creating strong wind shear with height.

We are quiet this morning and will stay that way probably through late PM.   Pay attention to the weather & have your FOX 8 Weather App all set up to alert you in case warnings are issued.   The greatest threats will be north of Lake Pontchartrain, however, even the South Shore is in the level 2 risk area.   Once this passes after midnight, Monday and Tuesday look to be delightful.  Let's hope the storms aren't as bad as SPC is indicating.  Stay tuned!   Updates as needed.
