I forgot to mentioned on my earlier post that we lost 2 of the greatest characters in the history of NOLA. Dr. Morgus (Sid Noel Rideau) the Magnificent passed away yesterday at the age of 90. I only met Sid once and that only happened 2 years ago when I was attending a fund raiser at Cristwood in Covington. Of course I knew who he was, but he was not in "costume". Only when he spoke did I recognize the voice. What joy he brought to so many over the years. So happy I finally got to meet the legend.
The same day Ronnie Cole, the Pope's pianist left us at the age of 89. Again, Ronnie was a great character & fabulous entertainer who I met at many fund raisers. He was given a talent from God that very few ever possess and I totally enjoyed asking him to show me the insides of his jackets. Can't even describe how they were custom made to match his tie or cumberbund. And I thought I was a showman!
2 great gentle men have left us, but we should not be sad as they have made us all happier because of their gifts. R.I.P Guys.
I really don't want to talk about the Tropics tonight, but I can't ignore what NHC is putting out regarding 2 systems in the Atlantic. The closer in disturbance is given a 30% chance to develop while the second has a higher (40%) chance. They are 10 days away IF they came straight for us.
Closer to home, there is a cluster of storms that flared up this afternoon over the central Gulf. Model don't see it, NHC isn't talking about it so neither will I. Pressures are not falling but I will keep an eye on it. Stay tuned!

Thanks, Bob, for the info about Morgus. We loved him. My husband has Morgus shirts and any of his shows we could get online. Great show!
Bob living in St. Bernard you kept my family calm. Thanks for being there with your updates.
