Now that Delta remnants have moved towards the Northeast, we are enjoying a rather pleasant stretch of weather that will continue for the next 7-10 days. Normal highs and lows are 82 & 65, but we'll be 5-8 degrees above that for the next couple of days. A weak front will pass through on Tuesday bringing lower dew points 9drier air, but the real cold front arrives on Friday. Morning lows both Saturday and Sunday will dip into the 40s & 50s with that crisp Fall feel back. the reason the chill will be back is due to the east coast upper trough developing bring down the Canadian chill.
The top graphic is for Friday morning while the next 3 are current. Most of Canada is in the 30s & 40s with even the northern Rockies seeing the chill. With this change of seasons comes welcomed rain to the West coast.
It hasn't reached California yet as some fires still burn there. There remains a large cloud circulation with Delta and it is not a pretty Sunday for much of the eastern states.
So we'll see the first weak front on Tuesday with a stronger cold front on Friday and another Front on Sunday. Those front will kill any tropical threat that might try to head into the Gulf. Right now there is nothing expected to develop . NHC still is watching an area far out into the Atlantic.
The GFS model develops a storm in the 10-14 day time frame over the Caribbean, but it takes that system over eastern Cuba and out into the Atlantic.
For now the Caribbean & Gulf are quiet and, with cold fronts returning, we should be done with tropical threats for 2020. I know some of you will point out..."but it is 2020"! Take a deep breath, step back, relax and enjoy a great stretch of October weather. Stay tuned!

Bob, my sweet Dad passed at 86. My siblings and I often joked that it was God, The Pope then Bob Breck as for as he was concerned. So if my dad had that much faith in you so do I. Thank you for your continued dedication to getting us the information that we look forward to.
