Eta Drenching Tampa Bay...

The center of Tropical Storm Eta is difficult to find on satellite or radar views but it's apparent it is a very lopsided east side loaded storm.

My long time friends (Susan & Tom) from my Tampa days still had power as of 10 pm EST and were getting some wind gusts with squalls, but so far it's no big deal.

According to NHC, the center will be on land before 7 AM and quickly move off the Carolina coasts before this weekend.  Their attention now turns back to the Caribbean where the next storm is trying to form.

With cold fronts coming to us, this storm should never reach the Gulf.

The first front for us will be more a dry front with lower dew points.  The second stroger front arrives late Sunday bringing back sweaters and jackets for next week.

I'm not looking forward to December, January & February as I hate bitter cold.  However, cold air ends hurricanes and sometimes you have to take one for the home team.  I am ready. Stay tuned!
