Before you dump on the NHC's forecasters, look at the track Eta took coming in from the Caribbean. No computer model could have predicted such a wandering path.
Some storms are well behaved, while others are not. Sometimes I think many of you place too much faith in the models. Technology has come a long way, but Mother Nature has the last call.Tropical Storm Eta is soaking the west coast of Florida with a strong band drenching their east coast too. It will move inland north of Clearwater later tonight and head off into the Atlantic for this weekend. We have several cold fronts coming that will finally end our spring-like feel.
Note how much lower the dew points are to our west and north. That good feel air will arrive over night and last into the weekend. A stronger front will follow late on Sunday.
So if any more storms form down in the Caribbean, we'll be protected by these coming fronts, and I think we all agree, IT'S ABOUT TIME! I may post later tonight if I see something to talk about. Stay tuned!
