The bullseye is centered over west central Louisiana with 5-7"+ possible. Locally, our amounts could be 2-4"+ with the best chances coming over the weekend,
There is a large blob of clouds around a surface low on the OK/KS border. You can see the surge of warm (80s) air in south Texas with dew points approaching 70. We could see that here tomorrow before the 1st weak front staggers through for Thanksgiving. That front will wash out and reform to our north on Friday as another upper disturbance develops low pressure along the upper Texas coast on Saturday. That low heads our way bringing the better chances for rain this weekend. IF we are to see any flooding storms, they would happen then and not with this first front for Thursday.
If there will be any severe storms today, they would be with the bow echoes across Kansas & Oklahoma. And for you cold weather freaks, don't despair, it's still coming for next week as models show an upper low forming over the eastern states.
This graphic is valid for Next Monday so get ready for the Big Chill Gang. David Bernard even had the North Shore dipping into the upper 20s for Tuesday AM. Just a heads up to be ready. Early forecasts for Sunday's Saints game in Denver calls for sunny skies and temps in the 40s, meaning weather should not be a factor. Stay tuned!
