A Real Front Is Coming Late Next Week...

We have been stuck with south winds and soupy air for over a week. That will continue again on Sunday before a weak cold front tries to stagger through.  This front will trigger another round of heavy rain & severe weather to our north tomorrow.

The upper dynamics with this next system appear way weaker than the last one that caused all the bad tornadoes.   Still, until the upper wind flow changes from the SW, it will be hard to get into cooler and drier air here.

The cold front coming for late tomorrow is back in Texas today.   Summer like temperatures and dew points (humidity) are ahead of it.

It will take an upper air pattern shift coming next week to really get a stronger front by us.

But as you can see, by Thursday & Friday we'll be back to sweaters and jackets with nights in the 40s again.  So we're not done with the cold just yet.

So while you're waiting for our next cooldown, try to enjoy the warmth & humidity!!!  It's still tolerable compared to what we know is coming by May through September.  Stay tuned!
