Transitioning Back To A Wetter Pattern...

After the 5th wettest May turned dry for the last 7-10 days, June looks like it will return to a much wetter start as the upper SW flow means slow moving fronts and lots of rainy periods.

T-Storm erupted just east of NOLA this evening and across the North Shore with a surge of Gulf moisture heading northward ahead of a weak cold front that lacks the upper support to push it through us,  However, it will get close enough to increase our rain chances for the rest of this week.

Today is the start of "Meteorological Summer" and the really hot temps are showing up along the west coast with 90s into eastern Washington and 100+ over the desert SW.

Cloud cover and showers are keeping much of Texas into the Ohio Valley cooler than normal and clouds will be the rule here for the rest of this week.

Clouds can make for a pretty sunrise like the bottom photo I took this morning out of Shell Beach with Captain Hylton.  I'll have more about our trip tomorrow.  Stay tuned!
