Another Top Ten Finish...

We had some heavy storms around this afternoon, but they all missed MSY.  Only .02" was recorded today making the monthly total 10.61", which places it # 9 in terms of wettest Julys.  More rain is likely during the next 3 days, but it'll arrive too late for the July statistics.

The bottom graphics is the current rankings, and you can see that 2021's total will put us at # 9.  A weak cold front will try to reach us by late Wednesday bringing a wet start to August.

Notice the 50s & 60s dew points are behind the front and some of that dry air could sneak in here for Wednesday night & Thursday,   You can see the clouds along the front to our north and the increase in clouds and showers should mean less hot here later next week.

Night time lows could sink into the 60s north of the Lake IF the drier air makes it.  Otherwise, the Tropical Atlantic remains quiet with nothing expected to form for the next 10-14 days.

Like yesterday, all the action is in the eastern Pacific.

Tropical Storm Hilda is nearing hurricane force and is expect to become a Cat. 2 in the next day or so.  No models are developing anything in our part of the World, so life is good...despite the heat!  Stay tuned!
