I always get nervous when I see super cold (30-35 below zero) air up in Alaska & Canada. That cold air will likely invade the lower 48 during the first week in December as models are bringing a freeze to us in the 12=14 day time frame.
That's down the road. This week we'll see our first front before daybreak on Monday with another one late Thursday into Friday. Most of the rain with this first front will stay to our north with another rain threat coming late Thursday into Friday morning.
We'll see a brief warm up Wednesday & Thursday before the chill returns for the weekend.
Clouds will thicken tonight with clearing skies by late Monday PM Today may be the warmest day for the rest of this year as models are hinting at a very cold December sharping up for the eastern U.S, including us. So you cold weather geeks, don't despair at today's warmth. Your time is coming! Stay tuned!
