Look how we bounce from today's mid 70s down into the 40s & 50s by daybreak. We rebound into the 70s again over the weekend only to drop back into the 30s & 40s early next week . But we won't stay there as Thanksgiving Day looks Turkeerriffic!
Satellite views have a band of clouds along a front that has already pushed to our south. Very little rain accompanied this front although MSY did record .17" for the first rainfall so far in November.
As high pressure builds in, this is not a terribly cold airmass. What it is, is very dry. Look at the low dew points in the teens to our north & west. If you're dressed for it, Friday will feel terrific!
The cold front is pushing down to the coast and you'll notice the increasing winds tonight. Hopefully, our current cloud cover will leave as there is a near total (97%) eclipse of the moon tonight.
David gave a time line for the clouds leaving indicating during the eclipse, skies should be mostly clear. I'll be asleep! Finally, did you miss the tweets from Dr. Phil Klotzbach yesterday? For all of the Global Warming Alarmists, Dr. Phil said the period from Oct. 17th thru Nov. 15th had the 3rd lowest ACE (Accumulated Cyclone Energy) of any year since 1966 over the Atlantic Basin. But there's more as Lee Zurik would say.
The Globe has had no (like zero) tropical cyclones/hurricanes since Typhoon Malou on Oct. 29th. Only 5 other years since 1966 (55 years) (modern satellite era) has the globe had no hurricane strength storms. Has that been reported in the main stream media? Nope. They only report what Climate Central or Climate Matters or the government tells them what is happening, with the bias to more frequent & more intense storms.. Not happening Gang. The 40s & 50s had stronger, more frequent hurricanes. Pay attention the next few years as they are coming after our wallets in their efforts to save our planet. Stay tuned!
