This afternoon's highs barely made 50 and with light winds and clear skies tonight, I just feel temps will easily be as cold or slightly colder than this AM. In addition, look at how low our dew points are. They will rise over night, but I just feel once the sun is down, we'll see a quick dropout in temperatures.
The cold air clouds have push well south of our coast as the cold front has pushed south into the Yucatan. Look how the water temps have decreased into the 70s with 50s & 60s along the northern Gulf coast.
A weak upper low over southern California will bring us our next rain threat on Tuesday, but before then, Sunday will be spectacular with all day sunshine and temps rising back into the 60s after the early AM chill.
The well advertised Nor'easter/blizzard is everything predicted with snow totals in the 20-30+ range. The circulation around that system has dragged cold air all the way down to Miami and freeze warnings are up for the northern 2/3 of the state. For us, the next 4-5 days will be much warmer with a Spring preview feel to the air.
