After Frosty Start, Bright Sun Makes For Comfy Cool Day...

As usual, MSY stayed above freezing while my house dropped to 30 near Bonnabel & I-10.  There was widespread frost on the rooftops & on our cars and I was happy I covered my plants.

That should not happen tonight as clouds along the coast should move back over us before dawn keeping lows on the South Shore above freezing.

I grabbed a graphic from Zack Fradella's morning program that keeps the NW flow over us this week all week.  That should mean our rain chances will be near zero with a slow warming trend.

There is a weak disturbance in New Mexico that will spread the clouds back over us for Monday.  Aside from that, most of this week will be sunny & dry.

With dew points in the 20s, we really need to clouds to spread over us tonight so we don't see another frost/freeze.  I am not covering my plants and have brought all of them back outside my shed to get today's sunshine.  If later tonight the clouds don't arrive and the temperatures drop, I may have to scramble before I go to sleep?  Stay tuned!
