After another near perfect February day with lots of sunshine & temps around 70, a strong cold front will blow through shortly requiring the winter weather gear for Sunday and Monday. I've already brought my potted plants & hanging baskets into my He-Shed even through we won't have freezing issues on the South Shore until Sunday night. There might be a few showers with the front tonight with parts of the far North Shore possibly seeing some snow flurries.
The upper pattern will be changing this week as the ridge over the West and trough over the East will become flatter with the troughs being more progressive(quicker) .
You can see how much colder it is under the clouds to our north & west. also, the airmass is much drier with dew points in the single digits at Dallas. So get ready for wild temperature swings this week.
I'm thinking the North Shore will be 24-28 on Monday AM with the South Shore 29-34. That's why I brought my plants inside ahead of time. Finally, look at this fella...
Sometimes I laugh at myself in my "youth". Look at the long sideburns and dark hair! Even wilder were the wide lapels. You could have landed a small airplane on those!!! And what about the plaid?!!! Yikes! It was the 70s after all. Stay tuned!
