Full Alert For Severe Storms Tuesday PM Into Night...

SPC's thinking hasn't changed from yesterday as a potent upper disturbance will interact with increasing Gulf moisture triggering a severe weather outbreak across the Deep South tonight into early Wednesday.  This system is moving farther to the south than the last one and all ingredients are in place for widespread severe weather.

I thought the graphics Bruce & David showed are pretty self explanatory.  We need to pay attention here Tuesday PM into early evening hours.  Here's the timing.

Much of Tuesday will be fine, but between 4-8 PM we have the potential for strong storms with high winds & heavy rainfall.

Gusting winds above 40 mph could result in power outages and there is a Flash Flood Watch out mainly for the North Shore.

We are obviously in the warm air sector and it's hard to argue against the SPC's severe weather potential.

Our dew points are likely to approach 70 tomorrow afternoon as the low level moisture increases.

So we are quiet tonight, but our winds are increasing and tides are rising prompting NWS to issue a coastal flood advisory.

Once we get through a stormy Tuesday, the rest of the week looks terrific with cooler and drier air returning.  Pay attention late Tuesday.   Stay tuned!   We caught 17 fish this morning before winds blew us back to the safety of the dock this afternoon.
