More Severe Storms As Winter Battles Spring...

Yesterday SPC put the bullseye for severe weather over Iowa and, unfortunately, their predictions proved accurate.  At least 6 people were killed in yesterday's tornadoes.  We're back at it today as SPC (Storm prediction Center) has shifted the threat into Arkansas.

Let's hope we don't see a repeat of more deadly storms.   Until the upper trough shifts out of the west, there will be more severe storms.  SPC shifts that threat to the east for Monday keeping it well to our north.

I'm always impressed to see a 30-40 degree temperature difference behind the frontal boundary.  Look at OKC's 38 while DAL is 77!   We will see a cool down for this week, but it won't be that drastic.  However, a stronger cold front plaows through late on Friday.  We are not done with cold air!

I'm replanting my garden as I don't expect any more freezes south pf Lake P.  Those of you north and away from the Lake south still could see some freezes or frost.

We'll stay in the warm air sector for another day before the cool down begins.  Hopefully, this front will bring us some much needed rainfall?  We'll have another opportunity(better?) on Wednesday with the real cold push coming for next weekend.

You know I love the warmth versus the cold, but all this early warm air has sprouted the flowers, grasses & mold spores.   My allergies are going nuts!  Can't believe the gook that comes out of our noses!   Let me know how you're coping with  your allergies.  Is there a magic potion?   Vodka helps, but it's not a solution!  Stay tuned!
