Easter Weekend Looks Warm, Humid, Mostly Dry...

It didn't take long for the muggies to return as a warm from has surged back out of the Gulf.  Some strong storms are along the front moving away from us..  We will continue with a slight (20-30%) chance for rain each day into next week, but the dry hours will be way greater than the wet.

The reason i believe rain chances stay low is there isn't any strong upper disturbance coming that would trigger widespread storms.  There are several minor disturbances racing to our north and that will be where most of the showers stay.

SPC has a highlighted area to our NE on Saturday and that is where some big storms could form.

The reason I can't rule out rain this weekend can be seen in the bottom 2 graphics.  We are back in the warm air sector and dew points are already back to near 70 indicating there is plenty of low level moisture available.  But I'm down playing the rain during the daylight hours on Saturday & Sunday.  A weak front might sneak through on Monday, but the cooldown will be minor & brief.

I hope everyone has a wonderful & peaceful weekend and don't eat too many crawfish!  Stay tuned!
