Jazz Fest To Begin Dry & Getting Hotter...

Gosh, didn't it feel great this morning and even this afternoon?  The lack of humidity is why people chose to live in other parts of the country since we know this won't last here.  I grabbed these graphics from David's 4 PM program.  Notice how our dew points are in the 40s across much of Louisiana as very dry air remains...but not for long.

Back to our west, dew points surge back into the 60s and that's what's coming.

The new drought monitor came out today and shows we really could use some rain over south LA/MS.  There is a slight chance for some daytime heating showers Sunday & Monday, but no widespread rain is in sight.

Not sure if this is our last real cold front until next Fall, but it has brought chilly air to the Great Lakes & NE.

Without a strong front coming this weekend, the only trigger for rain will be daytime heating.

Finally as we leave May, David showed this graphic.

Our first 90?  Yikes, we know what's coming.  I'm going outside tonight before the good feel leaves for good.  Stay tuned!.
