The bottom two graphics are the heavy rainfall projections. There is a band of 2-3" across the North Shore with less than an inch expected for the South Shore.. NWS has issued a Flood Watch for areas north of the Lake.
The coming upper disturbance looks far weaker than the last two. However, our severe threat is NOT zero. The upper air graphcs are valid for Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday with the bottom one valid for Friday. If models are correct, that deep upper trough will bring down a real shot of cold air for the Great Lakes & Northeast.
As low level moisture increases tonight, the severe storms should begin to fire off across Texas & Oklahoma. Here's the timing for us.
The good news for us is storms won't get here until well after daybreak. Note the heavier rain amounts across the North Shore.
Clouds along with winds will keep temps way up tonight. The big story after the severe threat passes will be the late week cool down.
We may struggle to get out of the 60s for Friday & Saturday. All you cold air geeks get ready. Summer is not here yet. Stay tuned!
