Weather Should Hold Up For FQF & Zurich Classic Golf...

Many of us live for festivals, fairs, & big events.  This weekend we have 2 with the French Quarter Fest & the Zurich Golf Classic.   Being outside events, both want warm (but not hot) temps & mostly dry weather.  It appears both will get their wishes.

The top photo shows the upper disturbance going far to our north today with an upper ridge building in behind it.  The front over Texas & Oklahoma will not reach us so we should continue with a warming trend through this weekend.

The dense cloud deck is making for a chilly day to our north with temps in the 40s & 50s.  Back in sunshine in Texas, temps are near 90..  Note the surge of 60+ dew points from the Gulf into Kansas.

The clouds over us today will leave making for a mostly sunny Thursday.  All showers have stayed well to our north and that should be the pattern this weekend.

The only negative is the brisk SE winds are creating higher water levels outside the levee protection system.

There is a major storm approaching the West Coast that David showed might bring us another cold/cool front early next week.  Gotta love Springtime in the South!  Stay tuned!
