Oh So Nice Weather About To Take A Hike...

I remember my many vacations to Colorado during past summers when it was hot (90+) during the day but almost comfy cool (50s) at night.  Why?  Because the air was so dry (low dew points) allowing the over night temps to cool.  Such is today here as morning lows were in the 50s with PM highs barely 70.  The brisk north winds have diminished and will return off the Gulf tomorrow.

Tomorrow morning should be even cooler since dew points have dipped into the 30s.  North Shore and away from the Lake south could be in the 40s, but it won't last.

Since the center of the surface high will pull farther to the east over the next several days, low level Gulf moisture will stream back over us.  Dew points at Brownsville are approaching 70 and that's a summer time feel.

Without any upper disturbance moving over us through the weekend, our rain chances will stay very low while our highs return to above normal/average (80s).

This has been a beautiful stretch of weather for our holiday weekend, but it can't stay around much longer.

It was a special weekend visiting my grandchild  Ethan & family in Oklahoma.  They grow up so fast!  Stay tuned!
