Agatha Forms In Pacific, Could Enter Southern Gulf Next Week...

The Eastern Pacific's 2022 Hurricane season has started with Tropical Storm Agatha forming this morning.  She is expected to become a Hurricane before moving inland with her remnants sneaking into the extreme southern Gulf late next week.

You can see on the infrared/color pic, there are T-Storms (arrow) clustering around her center.  Agatha will move inland into central Mexico and weaken, but some of her circulation may survive and get into the southern Gulf.  IF that happens and a circulation develops, it will be renamed Alex.

However, neither the Euro or GFS develops the system until it gets east of Florida.  That would mean zero impacts for us and limited impacts for Florida.  I'm hoping nothing forms and we get well into June before we see name # 1 in the Atlantic Basin.

Yesterday's front has stalled along our coast, but most of us are enjoying the lower humidity.  Heat is building back to our west.

Anytime dew points ae in the 50s in late May, we should be thankful.   You'll gradually notice each day will feel hotter and more uncomfortable as we head into next week.

We could see some daytime heating showers bubble up by Tuesday, but no fronts are coming .   Enjoy the second half of your holiday weekend.  Stay tuned!
