Thinking of Oh What a Feeling !

I started wearing sweaters last night out to dinner even though temps were still in the 70s.  But today, whoa!  I walked out to walk Bailey and I started hearing Irene Cara (Flashdance) singing Oh what a feeling!!!  We started sunny, but clouds came over rotating around an upper low dipping down over the Southeast.  The northerly flow has pushed the cold front way down into the Gulf to the Yucatan.

Those clouds have kept us mostly in the upper 60s to low 70s, but the brisk north winds make it feel delightfully, pleasantly, comfortably cool.  The real chill is farther to the north.

The air feels so good because dew points have fallen into the 40s.  That will allow some 40s north tonight & 50s south of Lake P.

We should remain below normal for the next 3 days with a slow warm up coming late week.  Finally, I read all of your comments with some still believing a bad storm could come later this month.

As a matter of fact, the GFS (notoriously wrong) at day 12 forms a weak low over the western Gulf.  Note by the next day that low weakens as it brings some much needed rainfall to south LA/MS.  With each passing cold front, Gulf waters will cool down, plus upper level westerly shear will prevent any major development.  And that's why the Fat Lady is singing.   After watching the play of the Saints, she's singing the blues!  Stay tuned!
